State Senator Paul Feeney, the fiery progressive known for his work as legislative director of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2222 and as Bernie Sanders for President state director for Massachusetts and Connecticut, endorsed his colleague Sen. Barbara L’Italien today in her campaign for the Third Congressional District.
Feeney, a well-respected figure in both labor and progressive circles, is hosting a canvass kickoff for L’Italien in Haverhill on Saturday.
"I am proud to support my friend and colleague, Senator L’Italien, for the Third Congressional District,”said Feeney.“Barbara has long been a champion of progressive values and the issues facing working families throughout Massachusetts. Throughout her career, she has been a driven leader guided by a strong moral compass. There is no better candidate to represent the people of this district in Congress."
L’Italien has the most support from labor unions in the race, including endorsements from Feeney’s IBEW 2222, IBEW 2321, IBEW 2325, IBEW 1505, as well as a host of endorsements from national and local labor and progressive organizations.
