Message from Lynn Teachers Union:
Sisters, brothers, and non-binary siblings, on behalf of the Lynn Teachers Union thank you for your support of our fight for a fair contract, not only for us as educators, but for our students, families, and the community. Our recent actions have worked, as the School Committee finally countered on LTU’s priorities for the Greater Good, specifically, class size caps and caseload mandates for teachers and therapists.
While these signs of progress must not be overlooked, there is still work to be done. As summer vacation approaches, LTU will continue to ramp up pressure on the Lynn School Committee and we need your support. Please join us and inform your respective organizations and unions! When we fight, we win!
Public Leafleting (Sunday, June 5): LTU will be at the Market Basket in Lynn (40 Federal Street) all day Sunday, handing out leaflets, talking to Lynn residents, and holding signs.
Rally for the Schools Our Students Deserve (Thursday, June 9): As of now, LTU will be holding a rally in front of LPS (100 Bennett St, Lynn) at 4:30pm. These details are subject to change. Bring your colleagues, friends, and family as we make (hopefully) a final push towards new contracts!
